(Don&#8217;t try to answer all of them).<\/li>\n<li>What details do you notice ?<\/li>\n<li>Is it about the sower ? The Seeds ? The Harvest ?<\/li>\n<li>What do you think ?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Part 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now read it again out loud &#8211; use it as a mirror to look at yourself.<\/p>\n<p>This time spend some time asking God what this story tells you about yourself.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What emotions go on in you when you read it.<\/li>\n<li>Do you see yourself as seeds ?<\/li>\n<li>or the Sower ? Or the ground ?<\/li>\n<li>What kind of ground is your life ?<\/li>\n<li>Can you do anything about it ?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Share your impressions, you may want to pray together.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Part 3<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes &#8211; You guessed it. Now read it a third time &#8211; this time using the story as a window \u00a0to look at our world.<\/p>\n<p>What does this story tell you about family, your workplace, your friends ?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now you&#8217;ve done all that, if you&#8217;re feeling frustrated read Mark 1:10-13. \u00a0Jesus seems to say that the point of a parable is that some won&#8217;t get it !<\/p>\n<p>Does that shock or surprise you ?<\/p>\n<p>Now you have permission to read Jesus&#8217; explanation. You&#8217;ll find it in Mark 4:14-20.<\/p>\n<p>Note the irony here. This story actually tells us about how stories like this work !
